Virtual cockpit retrofit consists of;

New dashboard
New instrument cluster
Various pieces of trim
MIB2 infotainment unit
New amplifier (B&O)
New wiring looms
Immo swap & coding using ODIS

Going to try and code the TTRS advanced key to the car also.

You can fit VC without a new dashboard, but I'd rather do it properly.. No point skimping!

Quite excited for VC retrofit! Gives me a nice well needed break from tuning I feel. Also gives MRC some time to finalise closed loop boost control.

Now you're probably wondering why I don't just buy a TTRS or a facelift RS3..

The reason is due to the engine. The iron block 5 cylinder has years and years of tuning development and hardware available for it, it has literally only just reached the point of its life cycle where tuners are finally exploiting its full capabilities. The iron block 5 cylinder is a proven engine making well over 1200hp in some builds, not a power figure I'm after but its nice to know its capabilities.

Audi have taken the iron block 5 cylinder from the 2009 TTRS, refined it, improved it and chucked into a brand new MQB chassis car. What more could you want. Its a tuners dream.

Hab soeben eine Mail erhalten

"At the moment the VC supply and coding, including IMMO and key coding will be approx £1200.00. A price for full installation I am still working on as the unit seen on instagram is yet to be placed within the dash. You would be more than welcome to complete this yourself however if all you wanted was the coding side of things."

War mir aber zu teuer

Krass, der musste das ganze Armaturenbrett ersetzen auf FL!

Da ist wohl nix mit einfach Display nachrüsten und etwas codieren..

Ich bin gerade dabei meinen auf VC umzubauen.
Nur Display rein ist da leider nicht..
Die Woche kommen dann die Teile und dann mal schauen.

Grob dazu:
- MIB2 wird benötigt
- VC braucht neue Kabel
- B&O geht nicht einfach zu tauschen
- Armaturenbrett muss angepasst werden

Moin, gibt es hier schon mal wieder was neues? Mehrere umbauten? Was musste am armaturenbrett geändert werden ? Wie finde ich heraus ob ich eine MIB2 Headunit habe? Bei mir ist es nämlich komplizierter da ich damals beim kauf das komplette interieur vom FL bekommen habe, lange geschichte lg

Moin, gabs hierbezüglich noch ein paar infos? Wie aufwändig ist es denn die Headunit von MIB auf MIB2 umzurüsten? Hätte gerne das neuere Betriebssystem und Apple Carplay was bei meinem VFl Modell leider nicht vorhanden ist.
Kommt der Umbau auf MIB2 mit irgendwelchen Komplikationen oder kann ich das eher als Plug and Play ansehen ?
